Dream Valley Challenge 60 - Make your own flowers/embellishments

Hiya!

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend :-)

It's time for another challenge from Dream Valley.... and I love this one!

Make your own flowers/embellishments

It has reminded me what fun it is to make my own scrunchy flowers :-) If you haven't seen them before, they're really quite simple to make.... You just use die cut scalloped circles of co-ordinating papers, spray them with a little water, scrunch, layer and allow to dry - simple! On this card I have fixed them together with little brads.....

A close-up so you can see them a bit better....

The rest of the DT have made some beautiful embellishments so please pop over and have a look and join in the fun!

Dream Valley Challenge 59 - Father's Day

Hiya!

Hope you are all well! I've been having a bit of a rough time with my dodgy hip just lately and I've been finding I can't sit in one place for any length of time so I've combined this challenge from Dream Valley with my own personal challenge - complete a card before it gets too painful to sit in my craft room!

The actual challenge is:

FATHER'S DAY!

although we're quite happy for you to enter any card for a man..... I always need to make several Father's Day cards as I have my own Dad, my father-in-law and my step-dad to make for so this year they all have variations on the same card which was quick and simple to make....

My son, George really wanted to join in too so he coloured the image on this one for me...... :-)

It was a great opportunity to use some nice brightly coloured papers that I don't often use :-) I hope you like them! Please pop over to Dream Valley to see what the rest of the team have created.

Dream Valley Challenge 58 - Sports!

Hi there!

Wow! Have you been enjoying the beautiful weather??? We've had a lovely few days. Yesterday we went to Chester zoo - absolutely fantastic! The place is huge! I ache all over and my dodgy-old-lady hip (as I call it!) isn't thanking me today cos I'm not as fit and active as my lovely hubby..... He's a runner..... He did the London marathon a few years back and regularly takes part in local runs. Not something I could ever do - partly cos of my dodgy-old-lady hip, but partly cos I couldn't deal with being hot and sweaty in public :-)

Anyway, so that's the background to this card..... It's my hubby's birthday next week and I've made this card for our boys to give him. It's just the ticket for our latest challenge at Dream Valley:

SPORTS

A close-up of the image.... He's called Race Tom from Digistamp Boutique....

Right, now I've got lots to do today. The garden has been neglected while we've been away, the kids need to finish their homework before school starts again tomorrow and George has got a birthday party to go to this afternoon. Busy, busy, busy!

Don't forget to pop over to Dream Valley if you need some sporty inspiration!

Dream Valley Challenge 57 - Animals

Hiya!

Oooops! I was out shopping yesterday and completely forgot to schedule my post - sorry :-( It was good shopping though...... A few of you may know that I've lost a bit of weight recently and my slimming group have been collecting all the clothes that are now to big for us to give to charity, so I had to go and buy replacements in my new size :-) I had a fab time!

Anyway, back to my card..... This time at Dream Valley we want to see some ANIMALS on your creation..... The image I have used is Waking Up Birdie from our sponsor Robyn's Fetish. This card is for my lovely friend, Lynn, who hit the big 4-0 this week. Happy birthday, Lynn!

Right, time to get on with all my Monday jobs..... Don't forget to visit Dream Valley to see the fab creations made by the other DT members!

Dream Valley Challenge 56 - No squares here!

Hiya!

It's time for another challenge over at Dream Valley! This time our challenge is:

No Squares Here!

We want to see your lovely shaped cards..... In fact your shaped creations! Just no squares please :-) Some of our DT have come up with some amazing inspiration for you so you must pop over and have a look.

I made a shaped card for my sister's wedding anniversary using those cute little Forever Friends bears who have been lying neglected in my stamp box for far too long!

I'm loving these die cut leaves at the moment.... My lovely Dad bought them for me for my birthday and I Love them so expect to be seeing a few more of them over the next few cards :-)

Anyway, I'm supposed to be helping the littl'uns with their homework so I'd better get back to it!

Hope you have a lovely bank holiday.

Dream Valley Challenge 55 - Things with Wings

Hiya,

Hope you are all well :-) Things are certainly looking up for me at the moment..... Not only have we finally got some decent spring-like weather but my family currently all appear to be well and I have overcome my recent computer problems that have prevented me from blogging over the past few weeks!

Unfortunately my desktop pc that has all my photos and software I use for my card-making stuff has died a death :-( It has taken me until yesterday to finally figure out how to put my photos on the laptop and then put them in a format that blogger likes..... So complicated but I think I've got it now :-) I'm sure I'd have sorted it sooner but my family members have been dropping like flies - attacked by first one nasty bug and then another. The house is in complete disarray but I've finally got a bit of time to tackle it!

First things first (you've got to get your priorities right!) it's time for another challenge at Dream Valley

We want to see your
THINGS WITH WINGS!

So.... what will it be? Birds? Butterflies? Fairies? Bugs? Dragons???

I used a few birds and a butterfly....

There are birds on the paper I used on the lower panel, a little punched bird sitting on the "Together Forever" and then of course my die-cut butterfly :-)  This was my anniversary card that I made for Paul. I can't believe we've already been married a year! Time has gone so fast!

I used one of my fave LOTV images although I'm not very happy with my colouring.... Must be a bit rusty!

Please pop over to Dream Valley and have a look at the inspiration from the DT.

I'm going to enjoy a bit of sunshine (well, peg out the washing in any case!)

Dream Valley Challenge 52 - Mother's Day

Hiya,

And Happy Mother's Day to all those mums out there! Especially my own :-)

Dream Valley's challenge this fortnight is all about Mother's Day so I thought I'd share one of the three mother's day cards I made (because I also have a step-mum and a mother-in-law!) I've made good use of this stamp by LOTV.....

A close-up of the image.....

Hopefully, I'll have a bit of pampering later on but right now life continues as normal with Sunday swimming lessons and a friend's birthday party to take the kids to, oh, and a Sunday roast to cook... :-) I'm not sure any Mother's Day will ever be completely for the Mums! We're far too busy :-)

Please pop over to Dream Valley to see the rest of the Mother's Day inspiration from the DT!

Love 'n' hugs,
