Dream Valley challenge 69 - Humour

Hiya!

It's time for another challenge over at Dream Valley and after all of those spooky Halloween creations it is quite nice to get stuck into something a bit funny :-)

Our challenge this time is:

HUMOUR!

We are sponsored by Bugaboo and I have used this fab image of Gus - I love it! And the sentiment is brilliant :-)

I just wanted to show you a close up of the image so you can see where I used my 3D gloss on his glasses and moped :-)

If you want to see some more funny creations made by the rest of the DT, please pop over to Dream Valley and have a little giggle :-)

Love 'n' hugs,

No peeking, Yvonne and Graham! Dream Valley Challenge 33 - Humour

Hiya,

Firstly I want to make absolutely sure that my good friends Yvonne and Graham aren't looking...... This is your anniversary card and you'll only spoil it by peeking now :-) You can see it in real life soon enough!

Have they gone....? Good.... :-)

Want our Badge

It's time for another challenge at Dream Valley and we would like to see some humour in your projects. And did I have fun making this one, or what :-) I was chuckling away to myself colouring this image....

Now the image doesn't really represent the happy couple - they are far more spritely than the image I've used (available here) but they would definitely appreciate the humour in the sentiment :-) And I know Yvonne will love the glittery hearts.... Here's a close-up of the image...

and one of the sentiment.....

One of our sponsors, Bugaboo, gave us some fab images and sentiments to choose from. I ended up printing out three and wasn't absolutely sure which one I was going to use until the last minute - I love them all!

I used:
Image and sentiment - Bugaboo
Promarkers
Paper - Crafts too!
Ribbon - Crafty ribbons
Glittery hearts and pearls from stash

Challenges:
Moving Along with the Times - Celebrate (no birthday projects)
Creative Inspirations - Anything goes

Now don't forget to go and have a giggle at the fab funny projects made by the rest of the DT over at Dream Valley.... I can't wait to see the entries!

Love 'n' hugs,

What have I been up to....

....while I've been missing from blogland???

Just a few easel cards......

The first was for my son Marc who turned 16 (eek!) on Tuesday :-) I found this digi image from Bugaboo stamps which really isn't too far from what he's actually like :-) and then combined it with a big "16" cut from a freebie background paper from Bearly Mine Designs. The gingham paper is from Crafts Too. Silver swirls, some brads and a charm... ooooh and those lovely letter tile stamps I got on ebay:

Challenges for Marc's "16" card:
ABC challenge - T is for Trouble

I tried a similar approach for this 50th birthday card but I wasn't as pleased with the results:

The image is one of Clare Curd's, It's a Man's World clear stamps. The party popper is in the set too :-) The papers are Just Chillin' from Making Memories and the stars are Quickutz nesting stars. A bit of faux stitching to try to make it stand out a bit more but still not enough, methinks...

Challenges for 50th birthday card:
Let's ink it up - Show us your stitching

And then this is for my sister's wedding anniversary this weekend:

An unused Forever Friends stamp until now - naughty, naughty! Stamped the image onto textured card to see what the effect was like and really quite like it :-) The papers are papermania's Summer Bloom. I used the Xcut lacey heart border punch and a sizzix swirl. The sentiment was a stamp I got from ebay - love it!

And just so you can see the glittery bits.....

Challenges for anniversary card:
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Pink, cream and brown
Totally Gorjuss - Bling it on
Wags 'n' Whiskers - Use a die or a punch

Are you fed up of me now???? I hope not cos I'll be back on Sunday with my DT card for the latest Dream Valley Challenge :-)

See you soon!

Love 'n' hugs,
