Birthday thankyou :-)

Hi... Just needed to thank some beautiful people for my lovely birthday goodies...
The top piccie is the very first handmade card that my 14 year son, Marc has made for me (since nursery anyway!) I'm sure you'll agree he's done an excellent job. Absolutely gorgeous - thanks also to Clare for providing the image :-) Thankyou, Marc. I love it!
The other piccies show the goodies I've received from those lovely ladies over at my Crafty RAK club. The cards (going clockwise and starting with the fairy card) are made by: Julye, Cheryl, Jude's daughter Sophie, Janet, Clare, Alison and Julie. Thankyou girls - they're beautiful!
I've had a really fabulous day and I really don't care how old I am :-)
Thankyou all.
Love 'n' hugs,

Charlie's 1st Birthday

I can't believe my baby's going to be one soon! When I saw this cheeky little monkey, I knew it had to feature on his birthday card :-) The greens and yellows made a nice change from the usual blues of little boys cards. And again I used my Big Shot and the Bang! Zoom! alphabet sizzlits for my letters. I love the background paper: limeade filagree from doodlebug, and the lovely sunflower dot paper from bo bunny. Yummy! Worth every minute! Happy birthday, Charlie xx

Emily's 1st Birthday

It's my friend's daughter's 1st birthday soon and I really wanted to do something pink, cute and fluffy. I found some cute little animal double-sided stickers so I completed this adorable pair of penguins with glittery, pink flocking for a lovely soft finish. I cut the letters out using my Sizzix Big Shot and the Bang! Zoom! sizzlits dies which are fab cos they have all the numbers too. They took aaaages to cut out and add the detail (you can't see the faux stitching detail on the photo very well) but I definitely think it was worth it. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

Happy 50th Birthday - Ferrari Decoupage

My second post this morning... It's my step-dad's 50th birthday in a few days time and I wanted something really bold and striking. He loves anything ferrari so I managed to source a ferrari decoupage from ebay and I think it really stands out on the black background. Always have trouble doing men's cards, but I quite like this one :-) Happy birthday, Chris!

Happy Mother's Day - again!

Morning! Here's my second Mother's Day card this year. This is the one I've made for Paul's mom. I've used some more of my beautiful Pink Parfait papers, lovely shimmery cardstock and another of those lovely little bears :-) I really like the flowers on this one - got them at WHSmith. Some of my favourites! Hope you like it.

Happy Mother's Day!

Well here they are! My beautiful Forever Friends Pink Parfait papers :-) Aren't they gorgeous??? And strangely enough, my card actually seems less pink than usual. Lovely spring colours and of course, the bears! Thoroughly enjoyed making this one. Picked up a few tips from my friends and I think it's paid off cos it's one of my favourites I've ever made. Hope you like it. Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

RAK Club Birthdays

I know it's been a while but I'm back now! Chances for crafting when Paul's at work are very few and far between but I managed to find the time to get a few cards done for my pals in the RAK club... In the top card I had a go at paper piecing which I've only done once before but is very effective. I bought the beautiful tie aaaages ago and it was begging to used. I think it's really pretty and so soft :-).
The second card uses some more of the papers from the Papermania capsule collection that I love so much, with a little bit of colour that really stands out. I love my little Forever Friends chums!
But today I've been shopping...! Bought myself some beautiful new papers (all will be revealed shortly, but yes, I'm afraid they are pink!) and came home to find an almighty collection of images had arrived from my pal, Clare! How wonderful!!! Where to start, where to start??? Thankyou, Clare!
Well, Mother's Day is only days away. I'd better get cracking.
