Is it pink enough???

When I saw that the Pollycraft Monday Challenge this week was Pinkalicious, I decided it was right up my street and set to work on my sister's birthday card for this weekend. I bought this Forever Friends sticker with her in mind ages ago. She loves tootling aroung in her little car and going shopping so this is perfect! I'm also entering it into the Forever Friends challenge (stitching) and the Crafty Cardmakers challenge (inky fingers).
I've used my Pink Parfait papers (well, what else?), scalloped circle nestabilities, X cut lace heart punch, a daisy punch I got for my birthday, Relations text stamp from Papermania and a few other bits and bobs from my stash. I've used a sponge to ink the background for the bear and used my brush markers for the faux stitching.
I think that about covers it! Except to say "Happy Birthday, Nic!" Hope you have a fab day.

Especially for you - butterflies...

Well this is a first for me... I've never been asked by someone else to do a card before! It's my sister's friend's 50th birthday soon and she loves butterflies so my sister asked me to make a card especially for her. I'm really chuffed :-)
The image is Miss Anya Dressy and I've coloured her with my promarkers. The papers are all Papermania Henbury Lane (absoloutely gooorgeous!) and so are the felt butterflies - I've layered one on top of the other. The pink card was embossed using Sizzix texturz Polka Daisies and I cut out the 50 using the Bang! Zoom! alphabet and number set - both using my Big Shot. The ribbon and gems are all from my stash.
I've entered this into two challenges:
The Crafty Pad - Embossing
Took me aaaages but I think it was worth it!

Special wishes

Hiya! I've finally done all my Father's Day cards and I was in desperate need of a pink 'n' girly project :-) My pal Clare has been encouraging me to take part in the ABC Challenge, which is X for Xtra Dimension so I straight away though of my Daisy and Dandelion decoupage pack which has been a little neglected just lately (blame my promarkers!). So this is my entry... It's also for Penni over at The Crafty RAK Club cos it's her birthday soon - Happy birthday, Penni! I've dug out my Bigshot and my nestabilities for the scalloped circles and sponged over some bright pink ink while it was still in the die to leave a white edge. I've also used some pretty little ribbon flowers which I bought for a specific little project I've been working on for aaages (be on here soon, I hope...) and then, of course, my Forever Friends Pink Parfait papers - an essential for all pink 'n' girly cards!
Anyway, gotta go - kids screaming the house down and OH needs rescuing!

To the best Daddy in the world! Fourth Father's Day card!

This card is for Paul, my other half, from our two gorgeous little boys, George and Charlie. I went for a bigger A5 card cos it gives you a bit more space to have some fun - I hope the image doesn't look too lost... I particularly wanted to use this image because since Paul has been off work with his broken hand, this is invariably how George arrives home from nursery - on his Daddy's shoulders! The papers and ribbon is all from the Forever Friends collection, the brads are from the Papermania Capsule Collection, and of course the message is from The Creative Cottage. I'm not sure how well you can read it on this piccie, but around the outside it says "To the best Daddy in the World" Very appropriate. Happy Father's Day, Paul!

Happy Father's Day - Third card

This one is for my step-dad, Chris. Happy Father's Day! I just love the image - sooo cute! I got it in a RAK and coloured it using my promarkers (love 'em!). Really pleased with the outcome. I used some retro floral papers and scalloped cardstock that I've had in my stash for aaaages! And once again, one of those Father's Day messages from The Creative Cottage - I particularly like this one because it doesn't specify "To Dad" on it.
Anyway, still got another one to post...

Happy Father's Day - Second card

I made this card is for my boyfriend's dad for Father's Day using Clare Curd's "It's a man's world" stamps (isn't it fab?!?) and coloured it with promarkers. I've also got the party animal set which are brilliant (and less likely to offend recipients than the over-eater image that comes with this set!). I'll be using them soon... Anyway, this is pretty much my last fews sheets of paper from the Daisy and Dandelion set I bought last year. The only pack of paper I've really used to death. I'll miss them :-( I tried to make the middle flower look like a sunflower, did it work??? And then of course there's another of the freebie Father's Day messages from The Creative Cottage.

I'm entering this into a few challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenges - One for the Boys
Crafty Cardmakers - Cards for Men
Creative Inspirations - One for the Boys

Anyway, go to go... lots to do today!

Quick make...

Just a quick one... I was proud of myself for using up my scraps and putting together a very quick little card suitable to keep to one side for an emergency :-) The cute little dog is actually part of the paper so it was a bit fiddley cutting around her fur for the ribbon to thread through but I'm pleased with the outcome.

Anyway, take care! More Father's Day cards to come...

Happy Father's Day!

So here's the first of my Father's Day cards... I've been practising with my promarkers and I'm gradually getting happier with the outcome. I think this little bear is another little cutie. I think it lends itself to a walking-through-the-door idea so I made a door for him to walk through!
The "Happy Father's Day, Dad" message inside is a freebie from The Creative Cottage - absolutely fab! I'm using several of these this Father's Day! Let me know what you think.

Do not disturb...

I know, I know... No posts for ages and then two come along at once... I'm like the number 11 bus! (Non-brummies won't appreciate that, however, my brummie chums know exactly what I'm talking about!) I've been waiting for ages to use these new male-themed stamps - so much fun! I've used a combination of paper-piecing and, I think, a more successful use of promarkers on this image. Anyway, I'm pleased with the results. I had a go making my own flower using a number of layers punched from the flower punch I had for my birthday and I think it looks really effective. Let me know what you think.
I've got a number of occasions looming so I won't be gone long this time.... :-)

Happy birthday, Daddy!

Hiya!
I'm sooo sorry I haven't been around much just lately but I've had a really unpleasant couple of weeks. I won't go into any details but I've got my fingers crossed that the worst is over and things can start getting back to normal... And just in time too cos it's my beloved's birthday tomorrow and I seriously needed to get some crafting time in!
This is my very first offering using my new supply of promarkers - yeah! I'm now addicted to colouring in, in much the same way as I was as a kid :-) Still getting the hang of it but loving it! Love those gorgeous Forever Friends bears and this image was sent to me in a RAK (although because of previously documented small-child-meddling, I no longer know who sent me which images -sorry! And thankyou to whoever it was!).
Anyway, hope you like it!
Love 'n' hugs,
Mel xx
