My Little Monster

Hiya,

Today is my little monster's 6th birthday! Happy birthday, George!!!! This is the card I made for him using a new set of stamps I got called My Little Monsters from Recollections.

I paper pieced him using papers from the Rich Green collection from Papermania - the first paper pack I ever bought! I'm surprised I've got any left :-)

The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You....

Then some ribbon, a button and some card candi.... Simple! Love the colours though. I've always been wary of using red and green together since my tutor yelled at me for doing it in a presentation at uni (because of red-green colour blindness....) but I really like this one!

A BIG Thank You

I just want to thank everyone for their patience while I flit in and out of blogland..... My posts are few and far between and my commenting is getting worse! I completely missed my blogaversary altogether!!! To make up for it I will be offering some candy to my lovely loyal followers once I'm back from our honeymoon :-) The wedding is creeping up on me quite quickly now and I've still got so much to do - eeeek!

I'll be back again when I've got a spare moment :-)

Have you heard....?

....that apparently the Google followers gadget has its days numbered??? I read about it here on Lisa's blog.... How sad! We could lose all our lovely followers :-(

I would be gutted to lose all my followers and I'd love to still be able to follow all you too but there is apparently a solution! I've added a new (free!) followers linky thing on the top right of my blog so could I ask you all to sign up please? My second card uses a poor neglected stamp of mine: Luvvie from Sugar Nellie. The sentiment is Sentiments 4 You again!

I'm not quite happy with this one though.... The colours bled when I coloured and Charlie "helped" me with the 3D gloss.... :-(

I do like the rolled rose though - I used a fabric swatch my sister gave me from where she works. Love it!

Finally the snow arrived! We bought the kids a sledge weeks ago so we were prepared for when it came so we've been out this morning having fun with the sledge and throwing snowballs at each other before it all melts :-) Such a laugh!

My fave colour combo....

Hiya,

Hope you are all well and not too cold! It's freezing here today and we're even having the odd flurry of snow - my 2 year old, Charlie, asked me if it was Christmas - bless him! :-)

Now, first of all I just want to apologise about getting so far behind with my commenting.  All the wedding preparations are in full swing and it leaves me very little time to sit at the computer.... I'll make sure I get a chance to comment on some of everyone's most recent makes though - promise! I have managed to find the odd moment to do some crafting though. This is probably my last just for fun card for a while - I'll have to concentrate on getting the one's done that I need to make or they won't get done in time!

Oh, and what a surprise.... It's this little cutie from LOTV again :-)

I've used my fave colour combo for this card - it lets me use my new ribbon I got for Christmas too :-)
