I still can't do CAS.....

Me again!

I keep seeing all of these beautiful CAS cards out there but I just can't do them! No matter how much inspiration I get! Well you don't get anywhere unless you try, do you?

Here goes (apologies for the wonky photo!):

The image and sentiment is from Little Claire's Butterfly Tree set, coloured of course with my promarkers.... and then not a lot else.... In fact, nothing else at all!. This is the hard part. I want to add something.... It seems naked! But then I always do that to CAS cards and end up spoiling them. I want to doodle round the edge to do a border - what do you think? Give it a go or leave it as it is?

And just for a laugh I'm entering it into the following challenges:
Less is More - One layer card with birds
Charisma Cardz - Clean and Simple
Moving along with the times - Things with wings

Help and suggestions please blogging pals!

Love 'n' hugs,

I think your card is beautiful Mel. I've not even tried this yet as I know the embellishments will make it onto the card!

Hi Mel hunni,
I think it is a lovely CAS card. I think the only thing I would have done different would have been to use a more subtle colour in the image - but hey who am I to give advice - my CAS cards don't exactly reach the Less Is More standards!!! LOL

Hi Mel, I have to say it's far better than any CAS I have tried to date....really sweet, I am hopeless with this...well done.xx

This looks great, the only thing that I would do to alter it would be to extend the branch of the tree so that it is attached to something and not just floating!
Super card... well done you!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

It's a great CAS card Mel, well done. I don't think there is any need for doodled edges on this design but agree with Chrissie re: 'the floating branch'. It's always difficult to know when to stop with a CAS design, I think it comes with practice, so keep trying. lol.

Yes you CAN do them hun, you just did :o) Love the image - agree with Chrissie that it'd look more finished with the branch extended... you could maybe pop a little heart pearl or something similar where the heart is on the image? It's fab though! Lisa x
