I've used my usual promarkers and added hints of glitter to the stars and moons and a bit on the cloud. Can you see any of it in this piccie???

Papermania Victorian Fleur embossing folder
Brads, eyelet, ribbon, flowers and pearls from stash

Forever Friends Anniversary Card

Hiya! Another lovely day in Brum - we're being spoilt :-) Hope you're having nice weather too!
I managed to find a bit of time to spend in my craft corner (which is becoming increasingly difficult since Charlie gave up daytime naps!) and this is the result:

So what I was aiming for was something to fit with the vintage theme at the Forever Friends challenge blog but I've never tried to do vintage before and I'm not quite sure if this fits the bill - what do you think? I've added plenty of sparkle so here's a close up in the hope that you might be able to see some of it :-)

And as I'd chopped off half of the front of my card (on purpose!), I decorated the inside too....

I used:
Image - Forever Friends
Sentiment - unknown (ebay)
Promarkers
Papers - Dovecraft
Glitter glue
Nesties
Xcut flower punch
Xcut lacey heart border punch
Pearls from stash

Challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy - Let's punch it out
Forever Friends - Vintage
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything goes
Creative Inspirations - Lace and pearls (if the border punch doesn't count as lace, just delete me!)
Simon Says Stamp - Sparkle and shine
PaperPlay - Sparkle galore
Secret Crafter - Anniversary

Right, I'm off to check out your lovely blogs and update my allotment blog. More green stuff to show you if you're interested??? :-)

Have a fab weekend!

Dream Valley Challenge 7 - Something Old and Something New....

Phew! What a week with our poor, old blogger, eh? Hopefully things have settled down now so we can get cracking with the new challenge at Dream Valley. This time we're looking for Something old and something new!  Who hasn't got something old and something new hidden in their stash?!?

We're being sponsored by the fabulous Digi's with Attitude who gave us some fab images to work with although this time I'm actually using Gardener Tween which is this month's freebie (my something new!) and available to download here! Those of you who are regular visitors to my blog will also know that I've recently got myself an allotment so this little lady is right up my street!

I printed the sentiment on my pc. The papers are from the first pad of paper I ever bought - Papermania's Retro Floral. Goodness knows how old they are!!!  They are definitely my something old :-) I've also had the brads and buttons for aaaages and just had to use an old piece of gardening string I'd found!

Then I decorated the inside so I could show you the rest of the sentiment.....

Hope you like! Please pop over to see the gorgeous inspiration put together by the rest of the DT.

Challenges:
Creative Inspirations - Decorate the inside of your card
PaperPlay - Celebrating Summer Anything Goes!
Moving Along with the Times - 2 "B's" (Buttons and brads)
Stamp Something - Anything Goes
Wags 'n' Whiskers - Circles (image, spotty paper and brads)

Have a fab day :-)

A Little Tatty Teddy :-)

Ooooh! I've looked forward to these - the Tatty Teddy range from Docrafts :-) Went to a faaaaab demo on Sunday and went over my budget despite a special 20% off.....

The image and papers are both from the Tatty Teddy range - so cute! I used the dark grey Tatty Teddy ink to stamp with but he blurred a bit when I coloured him. Not sure if it's the ink or the paper I've used - I'll have to experiment.....

I used some silver flowers and pink sequins that I've had since I first started crafting about six(?!?) years ago in the corners and added a few pearls to the centres. Now I'm usually a fan of faux stitching (and you can still see some of that on the corners and the sentiment tag....) but I've been admiring Amanda's hand-stitching for aaaages and really thought I'd better give it a try..... Don't laugh - it's a bit wonky....

I used my usual leafy lace border punch at the corners and added some ribbon that comes from around the card blanks I always used to use - Anita's, I think they are.... I added some blue gems from last year's blue papermania capsule collection and then stamped a Tatty Teddy sentiment onto a tag with some more ribbon stapled in place. More faux stitching, some glitter glue and a doodled border in white gel pen....

Challenges:
PaperPlay - Show us your style
Secret Crafter - Dust off your stash
Sketch 'n' stash - Fab sketch

I'd better link these up - I've only got 20mins before the paperplay challenge closes - eeek! Then I'll be updating my allotment blog again - if you fancy, you can pop over and have a giggle at the things I've been trying to build for my veggies :-)

Dream Valley Challenge 6 - Flowers

Hiya!

It's time for another challenge at Dream Valley and this time we want to see Flowers! A nice easy one for you....

Most flowery cards are usually bright and colourful but I wanted to do something a little more subtle so I've used mainly black and white (papers are Papermania Capsule Collection) with just a splash of colour:

The image is the first outing of a Whispers stamp I've had for ages and just not got round to using yet. I'm really trying to be good and use all those stamps I've had hidden away for a while :-) I've added a punched butterfly (Xcut) with a little bit of sparkle....

.....and a flower I made using scalloped circle nesties.  I used larger circles in lighter coloured papers for the outer petals, and smaller, darker circles for the inner petals. I damped them slightly and then scrunched them up. I secured the layers together with a brad:

The ribbon and black pearls are from my stash.

Challenge:
Sarah Hurley - Butterflies/Things with wings

That's about it! I hope you have a fab weekend - please pop over to Dream Valley to see what the rest of the DT have made. They really are a talented bunch :-)

If you're following my adventures in my allotment, I'm just about to add the latest installment so you can pop over and have a nosey here - I've got green stuff! :-)
